Mallow and Chickpeas

Plant used: Malva Sylvestris

Community: Kueikh


  • 250 g mallow
  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable ghee
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt

Method of Preperation

  1. Clean and chop the Mallow.
  2. Fry onions with oil until the onions are golden brown in color.
  3. Add previously soaked chickpeas without their outer layer (cracked).
  4. Mix with the Mallow
  5. Add lemon, salt and oil.
