Plant of the Week

The plant database at the AUB – Nature Conservation Center provides information about native plants, including trees, shrubs, herbs and wild edible plants. It is a culmination of more than ten years of efforts in research pertaining to Lebanon’s richness in biodiversity.

Experts in agriculture, biology, chemistry, economics, medicine, nutrition and other fields have closely worked together to generate the findings presented here. These include, but are not limited to, plant folk use, taxonomy, cultivation, domestication, nutritional facts, and chemical and biological properties.
